The East Rankin Academy Science Bowl team competes each year in the Mississippi Regional Science Bowl sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy. Students in grades 9-12 may try out for a position on the team. This academic competition tests students’ knowledge in all areas of science and mathematics. The Science Bowl not only aims to inspire students to excel in science, technology, engineering, and math, but also to pursue STEM careers later in life.
As a winner over the past years of the Mississippi Regional Science Bowl, our team has enjoyed all expense paid trips to Washington D.C. to compete in the National Science Bowl.
