East Rankin Academy Names STAR Students

East Rankin Academy is excited to again have two students named
as Mississippi Economic Council STAR Students!
(If a school has more than one senior with an overall ACT composite score of 35 or above
and an overall average of 93, each student is designated a STAR Student.)
Dylan Davis is the son of Shannon and Heather Davis of Morton. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (Mathematics Honor Society), and ERA’s ACT 30 or Above Team. Dylan serves as captain of East Rankin Academy’s Academic Quiz Bowl Team and Science Bowl Team. Dylan has been named a National Merit Finalist and scored 36 on the ACT. Dylan will major in chemical engineering at the University of Alabama. His future career plans include attending medical school to become an orthopedic surgeon. Davis chose Mrs. Amy Mood as his STAR Teacher.
Max Gainey is the son of Kevin and Connie Gainey of Morton. Max is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (Mathematics Honor Society), and ERA’s ACT 30 or Above Team. He is also a member of East Rankin Academy’s Academic Quiz Bowl Team and Science Bowl Team. Max has been named a National Merit Finalist and scored 36 on the ACT. He plans to attend the University of Alabama and major in mechanical engineering as he pursues a career in biomechanical prosthetics design. Gainey chose Mrs. Rachel Stroh as his STAR Teacher.
